How We Got Started

Premium Plumbing & Rooter started with a simple idea: Bismarck deserves a plumber who shows up on time, treats your home with respect, and gives you a straight answer. Owner Joe Stepanian built this company on that belief after spending 16 years working in the trade. He saw too many homeowners get the runaround from overbooked national chains and fly-by-night contractors who cut corners. So he decided to do it differently.

We’re a family-owned and locally operated business based right here in Bismarck, North Dakota. When you call us, you’re not reaching a national call center. Meet Joe Stepanian

Joe is the owner and lead plumber at Premium Plumbing & Rooter. With 16 years of hands-on plumbing experience, he’s worked on everything from basic faucet repairs to full sewer line replacements, bathroom gut remodels, and commercial plumbing projects. His approach is straightforward: diagnose the problem, explain the options, give you an honest price, and do quality work.

Joe’s vision for the company has always been to build something rooted in honesty, hard work, and dependable service. Joe holds North Dakota State Plumbing License #2507, issued and maintained through the North Dakota State Plumbing Board. In North Dakota, plumbing contractors must pass a state licensing exam and maintain their license through continuing education and annual renewal. This ensures every licensed plumber meets the state’s standards for safety, code compliance, and professional competence.

Licensed through the North Dakota Secretary of State’s office. All plumbing contractors in North Dakota are required to hold this license in addition to their plumbing license for jobs exceeding $4,000 in value.

They came to our house today when i called this morning as our sewage ejector system wasnt working properly and needed a new one they came to our house looked at it for free and went out and got the new sewage pump system and all the parts for it they cleaned the hole where the pump goes and put the new one in and made sure the pump worked and everything before they left our house

If I could give higher than five stars I would! Joe and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were able to fix decades worth of corrosion to the plumbing in our home. Their work was done with a level of artistry I’ve never experienced with a plumber before. Joe was able to give us more space in our laundry room by simplifying and correcting existing plumbing. Once the project was completed they thoroughly explained all that was done as well as how the work will aid future projects.  An added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves, were respectful of the property and were extremely conscientious of the pets.

What's the difference between a tank and tankless water heater?

Traditional tank heaters store 40-50 gallons of hot water and are reliable and affordable to install. Tankless units heat water on demand, using up to 34% less energy according to the U.S. Department of Energy. We install both and can help you decide which makes sense for your home and budget.

Can you help with bathroom remodels?
